Hilo Design was a culmination of this desire for simplicity that does not compromise on functionality.
‘The Pillboard’ was a continuation of the idea of concealing the storage in plain sight. An idea of disguising the larger storage space within a pill shaped cupboard - finished in the same putty as the walls - resulted in an almost cultural piece of furniture that to a visitor would not come across as anything more than a column or a part of the wall.
